Hello,
>From my point of view there is no operation wich result is a CK_ID (typedef
int),
and the "get type" returns the class of the object.
But actually, each input parameter for an object (light, entity...) is
processed by a BB
using this object's ID.
My point of view (is it right?) is, for these parameters:
1,Dev's UI shows you a name
2,the parameter processed by the BB is the ID
3,the C code uses a pointer to the object most of the time
4,althought it uses the ID in several cases
5, step 1 and 2 are processed in reverse order to an output.
This is a rough explanation. I assume you are aware the ID's are not
constant,
for a given object, through the various sessions a composition encounters.
On the other hand I don't know any standard BB using ID as input (as far as
my memory
does'nt leak).
The only use for ID is through the SDK.
May be you can tell us more about what you are trying to achieve.
Best regards,
Christian Garnier.
