Re: [Virtools] Deep linking and placing games out of context. thoughts about it.

Hmmm,

Could you embed something in the Javascript that would make it more
difficult to embed directly (such as checking for one of a relatively large
number of embedded variables?)

I don't know, just a thought.

On the flip side, you can always embed a slide show at the beginning of the
CMO so that it contains all the appropriate messages, adverts, etc.

Good luck!

about it.

Hi all,

Due to some publcity we've received here in holland, we've noticed an great
increase in links to our games and commercial projects of clients of ours.

However, we also seen pages like what we call "start" or link pages here,
displaying our games in their web context including banners and such.

For our commercial clients who paid, to have an unique product on their site
this off course a bad development, also for some of the games we have on
our site as demo's we feel this is abusing our work.
We're not upset with a real fan linking to our games directly, but with
commercial sites off course.

How are the thoughts about it from the rest of the virtools dev. community.

And how are you protecting your work. Legally and technically? I assume this
is not a local issue.

best regards
Tomas Sala
