my equivalent is
<xsl:template match="eg">
<fo:block font-family="{$TypeWriterFont}"
wrap-option="no-wrap"
text-align="start"
font-size="{$ExampleSize}"
space-before.optimum="4pt"
space-after.optimum="4pt"
>
<xsl:apply-templates/>
</fo:block>
</xsl:template>
and seems to work. just the "wrap-option" attribute.
