Maybe it's not a FAQ because there is not a big number
of people interested ?
The correct answer ( received by e-mail ) seems to be:
If you want to get some XML specs from W3C site in
format other than HTML ( for example XML or *PDF*
or may be also PS, but I never tried) try to apply appropriate
file extension and if you are lucky - you may get it
( it does not work for *any* spec and it does not work for
any version of the same spec ).
