Anyone following my PassiveTeX work at
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/passivetex/ will want to get an update. I
have not substantially changed the formatting objects I support, but have
done a fair amount of checking and cleaning.

Of particular interest to some will be
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~rahtz/passivetex/latexexa.pdf. This is a
rendition of a physics paper (used extensively as an example in the
LaTeX Web
Companion,http://cseng.awl.com/bookpage.taf?ISBN=0-201-43311-7&ptype=0&catid=&navmin=&ctype=author&catpage=&seriesid=
), containing some moderately complex MathML markup. PassiveTeX
interprets presentation MathML directly, anticipating that this will
be the normal way to handle it in an XSL FO context (ie simply passing
it through unchanged). The MathML handling is a bit rough, and has
some obvious flaws, but its acceptable even after a couple of days work.

Acrobat bookmarks, if PDF is what excites you, need a little extension
which I mention on the Web page

Sebastian
