Your XML data can be queried using the text() For instance you have the following: <header> <category> Food </category> <value> Bananas </value> <category> </category> </header> You could use the following to get the value Bananas: <xsl:value-of select="header/value[from-preceding-sibling::node()='Food']/text()"/> My XML data contains Categories for Items. I need to print Group By Headers for the Items using XSLT. These headers get printed only if the Item being transformed has a category different from its previous item. Is there a way to do this in XSL ? Thanks Vandana XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
