I said:
<xsl:element name="grandTotal" select="sum(/doc/num)"/>
This was rather dumb of me. I can't have a select attribute on an
xsl:element.
I meant to say:
<xsl:element name="grandTotal">
<xsl:value-of select="sum(/doc/num)"/>
</xsl:element>
Although the other example,
<grandTotal><xsl:value-of select="sum(/doc/num)"/></grandTotal>
is probably the better of the two.
Sorry about that.
