I'm not a programmer (except maybe a bit of an XSLT programmer) so I'll give you a brief answer; other people can probably explain better. No, there's no way of doing iteration in XSLT. You have to use recursion. Basically, create a named template and have it call itself until some condition is satisfied (using xsl:choose). There are bound to be examples in the FAQ!
