This seems to be similar to the problem I'm encountering. I do basically the same ting, but assign the values for the test to two variables. I can proves that the variables have the expected values, but my test evaluates false even when both variables are identical (see my earlier post from my home address for the example - please ignore the typo mentioned by the first reply: that was not in the working source, only the email!).
