You can use the MSXML DOM to manipulate elements of your XSL stylesheet
before transforming the xml:-
...
<xsl:apply-templates select="myvalue" order-by="myorder"/>
...
myxsl.XMLDocument.selectSingleNode("//@order-by").value = "my sort value"
