Ok. So here is one solution that I found after "some" iterations :-)

<xsl:copy>
<xsl:for-each select="@*">
<xsl:attribute name="{name()}"><xsl:value-of select="."></xsl:attribute>
<!--xsl:attribute name="{.}" ALSO WORKS-->
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:template>
