saxon:output to named template

Hello

In Michaels fantastic XSLT Programmers Reference on page 652 there is the
following note about <saxon:output>: As an alternative to sending the output
to a file, it can also be directed to be processed by another named
stylesheet.

I could not find an example. Could somebody please explaine me, how the
above mentioned works?

Any help will be appreciated.
