Subject: RE: [xsl] Dynamic creation of frames & the data within
Linda,
This is a bit off topic because it is just a netscape question.
Like I said
frames.main.document.open("text/html", "replace")
or
frames["main"].document.open("text/html", "replace")
will work in all of them.
Digging a little further you might get problems with
<frameset onload="populateFrames()" rows="64,*">
<frame name="header" scrolling="no" noresize target="main">
<frame name="main">
</frameset>
because *STUPID* netscape does not create an actual frame if there is no
src
attribute. So changing
<frame name="main" src=""> which you wouldn't want to do
or
<frame name="main" src="javascript:return '';">
or
<frame name="main" src="blank.htm">
will allow you to open and write into the frame.
I wish I hadn't worked it out now. The sooner people stop supporting and
using this pile of c*** the better.
Ciao Chris
