Subject: [xsl] FAQ Suggestion (was: When test expression) From: Don Bruey <dbruey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 30 Mar 2001 08:23:59 -0500 |
There is a pointer to it - perhaps since this is the most FAQ ever it should be more prominently displayed in the FAQ - such as "MSXML Users Click Here First" or some such ridiculously obvious link. Or how about a Top 10 FAQ - MSXML, grouping by n elements, etc. This might help a little and most new people would probably be inclined to click there first. I too was bitten by WD-xsl - you don't realize by using WS-xsl that it's not XSLT, you just figure it is, and you're focusing on the syntax, not the namespace which most beginners don't understand. Also, unfortunately, a great deal of MS help on XSL still references the old stuff, which confuses anyone trying to write current code - it's all mixed together in there. One article says "$eq$" and the next one uses "=". I think that MS needs to update all their doc to be VERY SPECIFIC about whether they're referring to WD-xsl or the real thing.
