[xsl] extension evaluate() available in Xalan 1.2.2?

Hello,

I have Xalan 1.2.2.  If I execute the following XSL command:

	<xsl:value-of select="function-available('xalan:evaluate')"/>

it says "false".

Is this extension only available in Xalan 2?
