How do I remove a quote in a string.
Ex. I have a string in a tag like
    <NAME>O&#8242;Neill</NAME>

Now in the NAME template, I want to remove the
quote ie (&#8242) How do I write a translate statement to remove
that &#8242 and replace it with a quote.

This happens because Netscape gives it to me as
O&prime;Neill, whereas I would like to see it as O'Neill.

The problem isn't so much that you need to see O'Neill as that someone keyed it in as O&prime;Neill (&#8242; or &#x2032;) instead of O&rsquo;Neill (&#8217; or &#x2019;). Try translate($string, '&#8242;', '&#8217;').
