Well, i'd rather have XCSS. Reasons: - no additional software to install - not Java-locked - standardized vocabulary. Apart from this, would you mind to write a DTD or XSchema for the XML mapping of CSS? I already have some code, but it is restricted to the CSS syntax subset i'm using (no @media, for example), and i'm to lazy^H^H^H^Hoccupied with other stuff to read the CSS syntax spec in detail.


As many people on this list, I have also been thinking about this and, IMHO, the parsing will not be the difficult part (and a SAX parser or a XML vocabulary are equivalent) and what is much harder is to match the CSS selectors and XPath...

A while ago, Robin Berjon even came to the conclusion that they were incompabible...
