<DDDefinition xmlns="http://www.myside.site/ccc/ddd" That's DDDefinition in the namespace http://www.myside.site/ccc/ddd <xsl:template match="DDDefinition"> and that matches DDDefinition in the non-namespace "" which isn't the same thing at all. You want <xsl:template match="ddd:DDDefinition"> and stick xmlns:ddd="http://www.myside.site/ccc/ddd" in your xsl:stylesheet.
