Tp, You want something more like <xsl:variable name="x" select="'something'" /> <script...> function ol(thing){ var newDoc = document.open("text/html", "replace"); newDoc.write(thing); newDoc.close(); } </script> <body onload="ol('{$x}')> ... </body> That way you don't have to open and close windows and get those anoying little alerts popping up.
