Do you mean all your wanted nodes should have /resultset/result[1] as 
ancestor (I have problems with your following::*)?

<xsl:template match="*">
  <xsl:if test="generate-id(/resultset/result[1]) = 
generate-id((ancestor::*)[2])">
    <!-- /resultset/result[1] is the ancestor -->
  </xsl:if>
</xsl:template>
