[xsl] Avoid outputting newlines in output method="text"

I want to control the number of newlines output in text mode.
I want one newline per paragraf. How would I go about doing that?

I've tried googling this and the answer is probably out there but it's
hidden under a zillon other searchresults also including "xsl" and "newlines".
