Subject: Re: Announcement netiquette (was RE: [xsl] [ANN] <oXygen/> XML Editor 1.2.4) From: Mulberry Technologies List Owner <xsl-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 18 Dec 2002 13:32:11 -0500 |
It is the policy of XSL-List that anything related to XSL is within scope, and has been our practice to encourage people to keep commercial announcements short. I firmly believe that we need commercial products (few of us actually work in an environment free of commercial software, and few of us want to), and that we need to stay informed as the software changes. I have already written to the poster of the " <oXygen/>" announcement, suggesting that it was too long for XSL-List, and asking that future announcements be shorter, perhaps with a pointer to a web site where interested people can get more information. However, I have not asked them to refrain from posting on XSL-List, and I will not. Short commercial announcements are welcome here. -- Tommie -- ====================================================================== B.
