    </xsl:for-each>This is a problem with the line <xsl:for-each select="ancestor-or-self::*/@name"> If you change this to <xsl:for-each select="ancestor-or-self::*"> and then change <xsl:value-of select="."/> to <xsl:value-of select="@name"/> you'll get the ordering you want (and expect!).
