RE: [xsl] Unknown error in Xpath

When the XSLT processor can't tell you anything better than "Unknown
error", then it's time to try it on a different processor. If nothing
else, you're likely to get better diagnostics.

There's nothing wrong with your xsl:variable, though the trailing "/."
is redundant.
