Subject: RE: [xsl] Expression expected in variable select statement? From: "Kathy Burke" <Kathy_Burke@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 26 Sep 2003 11:49:18 -0400 |
Oops. I still need help, but I mistyped this...I did not use AVT in the xpath, I used //Station[name=@name] which still doesn't work of course. How does one refer to the current element's attribute in a recursive template? thanks, kb -----Original Message----- From: Kathy Burke [mailto:Kathy_Burke@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, September 26, 2003 11:21 AM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [xsl] Expression expected in variable select statement? Hi, I'm trying to set a row color based on whether or not the /Station element of a given "name" attribute has /Board descendents. I'm getting an "expression expected" error where I specify {@name} in the variable name="boards" line. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kathy <xsl:template match="Station"> <xsl:variable name="boards" select="//Station[name={@name}]/Boards/Board" /> <xsl:variable name="nboards" select="count($boards)" /> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="$nboards < 1"> <tr bgcolor="navy" valign="middle"> <td width="70%"><h3><xsl:number level="single" format="1." count="Station"/>  <xsl:value-of select="@name"/></h3></td> <otherwise> lines here...etc. XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
