Jan, I expained you the problem in my previous post. It has nothing to do with the schemaLocation attribute, it is a namespace problem. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Blog xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://limpens.com/blog http://localhost/LimpensCom/webXML/Data/BlogSpy.xsd"> in this case the Blog element belongs to no namespace and you are expected in the stylesheet an element from http://limpens.com/blog namespace: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:myns="http://limpens.com/blog"> <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="myns:Blog"> If you add xmlns="http://limpens.com/blog" to your XML document: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Blog xmlns="http://limpens.com/blog" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://limpens.com/blog http://localhost/LimpensCom/webXML/Data/BlogSpy.xsd"> then the Blog element will belong to the right namespace and it will be matched by the stylesheet template.
