This would probably be easier in xslt2 which has more extensive string handling but in XSLT1, as always, start out with an identity transform <xsl:template match="*"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/> <xsl:apply-templates/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> then add templates for your replacements eg <xsl:template match="text()[.='%special value%']">NEW VALUE</xsl:text> <xsl:template match="text()[.='%another special value%']">2nd NEW VALUE</xsl:text> David ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star.
