Hi James, cdnt u use preceding-sibling::B/TEXT1. If you want a generic mechanism to get the immediate preceding sibling node , cdnt u use preceding-sibling::node()[1] which in this case gives you B , and then maybe use the node step TEXT1 to point to TEXT1.
