[xsl] Modify acronym replace "function"

Good morning,

i want to use the example from

http://www.dpawson.co.uk/xsl/sect2/replace.html#d8104e115

but i want to hold everything in one document.
So how can i modify this text for using it inside my xslt.

<xsl:param name="acronyms"
    select="document('../xml/acronyms.xml')/acronyms/acronym" />


my xsl:

here the acronym replace "function"
