You seem to understand what I'm trying to get at... except the ellipses is perfectly congruent with my ignorance as to tackling this matter.
Yes, in XSLT 1.0 we use the
<xsl:for-each select="someNewDocumentNode">
<!-- . . . . . . . . . . . . . -->
</xsl:for-each>
instruction in order to change the current document
