I shall look forward to it.
I think I shall write some xsl:functions named saxon:parse and
saxon:serialize to try it out on Gestalt, although due to the buggy regex
implementation (I'm currently writing a new Unicode regex engine to
fix this) it will probably only work for US-ASCII inputs.
