The Jade engine does not include the DTD-related nodes in its grove. ISOGEN
is funding the extension of Jade's grove constructor to include these
nodes. Once that extension is complete, you'll be able to get to everything
you want using direct grove navigation (node-property, process-node-list,
etc.).  I don't have an estimate on when this work will be complete, but
you shouldn't have to wait too long for it.
