tables and page breaks and page numbers

I am using Jade to create RTF documents from dsssl stylesheets and 
xml-files. I have (so far) two problems:

1. When creating tables that covers several pages or just appears over a 
page break the table breaks strangely. I would like to avoid breaking in 
table cells. I this at all possible?

2. Is there some way to get the total number of pages for a generated 
RTF document? I would like to have it in the header so that the page 
number is on the form "1 (3)" for the first of three pages.
