Yes, I'd also like to throw my support behind the continuing maintenance of jade. Here is what I think we should do. First, find a candidate for a new primary maintainer (no, I don't volunteer, since I don't know C++) Next, present (nicely, diplomatically) an ultimatum to James Clark [hi James, if you're reading this]: * please either do one of the following: (a) respond more quickly to patch requests (b) hand over maintainership to the volunteer, <fill in name> (c) or else we're going to fork anyhow I don't think there's one person on this list that would like some additional features in jade (suprisingly, there are very few bugs). I guess it all comes down to finding a new maintainer. I think we'd do well with a 'bazaar' style development method -- shared CVS area with multiple (qualified) people given write access, mail list just for jade maintenance (or use this list), open bug tracking system. -- .....Adam Di Carlo....adam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<URL:http://www.onShore.com/> DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
