TeX in particular is capable of *much* more than >simple-page-sequence How to define the 'in-between' level? Options. 1. Come down from the spec definition to what can be achieved. 2. Find out what people want, and only go that far up from simple-page-sequence. 3. Go as far as TeX can go. Would suggest a merge of 2 and 3, with 2 taking priority. Rationale? Meeting customer demand rather than technical capability. We have had lots of 'I wish' statements on the list. could we collect those which are Highly desirable, Nice to have Then look at the feasibility of implementation, majoring on the former? My starter for ten is a multi-line header / footer. regards, DaveP DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
