Subject: using the IE5s MS XMLDOM COM-Interface on a IE4-mashine From: Bernhard Keil <Bernhard.Keil@xxxxxx> Date: Fri, 16 Jul 1999 19:10:20 +0200 |
probably a usefull information for some: If you want to use the MS XMLCOM-Interface (shipped with the IE5) in your application (e.g. some XML-Processor, or XML-Server), there is no need, that the complete IE5 is installed. If you (or the user, customer) has the IE4, the only thing to do is, to exchange the IE4- msxml.dll against the IE5- msxml.dll and register the IE5- msxml.dll. That needs only about 10 sec. it works... Bernhard Keil Diplom Physiker (Univ.)
