First of all, I am going to have to use a Java XSLT engine. I know Xalan and Saxon although I have not carried serious work with these yet. I've only been using libxslt with great pleasure, and I would like to know if there is a place where I can find good benchmarks comparing Java implementations out there with libxslt and MSXSL. The only benchmarks I found were testing old libxslt, I am looking for one using libxslt 1.0 and up. Thanks for any pointers. Another thing I am looking for is a place where there would be a list of good practices for writing efficient and fast XSLT code. Performance might well be a big issue in my project and I would like to make sure I code it right. Alternatively, is the MIchael Kay book including a chapter on that?
