I'd like to do a variation on this, filtering for all <coderec> items which contain the word "Canada" anyplace between <coderec> and </coderec>. (<coderec></coderec> has no children; it only contains text.)

<xsl:for-each select="//statecodes/coderec[contains(.,'Canada')]">
