The following code would translate the word JaMeS into all uppercase - <xsl:template match="/xml"> <xsl:value-of select="translate(jim/@name, 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz', 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ')"/> </xsl:template> While <xsl:value-of select="translate(jim/@name, 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ','abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz')"/> would translate into all lowercase.
