The XML looks pretty much like ordinary html -- what is the role of XSLT here?.The XSLT is used primarily to build the context-sensitive navigation menu on the rhs of the page. (There's previous processing done at publication time, and I figured that might as well generate something close to HTML. Previous releases generated the menu as well, but that often accounts for 80% of the content and it seemed very inefficient.)
