Looks like a mid-line collision thing.  I tested with an experimental
version and it worked O.K. it's just that there are other problems with
mid-line right now (breaks some games) so I haven't released it yet. :(  I
could make it a command line option so that you can use it if you need it
even though it isn't perfect, I was just hoping it could be something that
could be on all the time.

I was wondering, the column of dots down the middle of the screen is also
missing.  What are they?  Players?  Any chance I could see the code that
generates the lines with the dots in them?
