Hi David, There is more stuff there than you can shake a stick at. I read it but obviously not in enough detail to see the problems you came up with. >From what I saw it covers most of what is over at exslt (although all slightly differently) so I am not sure it is worth changing anything. It might be better to just wait for the implementations to come along. I guess that depends on timescales though. Does anyone have any idea of timescales? With what we hope is in xslt 2.0 there probably isn't anything we can't do easily so we can all probably pack up and go home ;-) Ciao Chris XML/XSL Portal http://www.bayes.co.uk/xml > Seems like a new Xpath related doc slipped out while I was away:-) > > XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Functions and Operators Version 1.0 > W3C Working Draft 27 August 2001 > http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-xquery-operators-> 20010827 > > Since > this looks like it could have a big impact > on XSL but I haven't noticed it mentioned here I'll give a > pointer below some comments I just sent to the comment list > www-xml-query-comments@xxxxxxx > > Might be interesting reading for the EXSLT folks to reconcile > their function collections with this proposed lot...... > > David > > > http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-query-comments/2001Sep/0003. html XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
