Alas not exactly:(

First of all I get a Jade error:

jade:docbook/html/dbparam.dsl:890:28:E: attempt to use current node when there 
is none

And here is what I get now (both in TOC and document):

 I. part
	1. Chapter
		SimpleSect*
	I. Reference
		RefEntry*
	II. Reference
		RefEntry*

Whereas it should be:

 I. part
	I. Chapter
		SimpleSect*
	II. Reference
		RefEntry*
	III. Reference
		RefEntry*

(note the continuous numbering across different types of elements at the same 
level).

Do you think such numbering makes sense or do I rather have these kind of 
problems because I'm misusing Docbook?

I'm currently trying to implement this, together with adding a bit of 
customisation to the format used by numbers (it seems to me that one will 
inevitably want to change for example the part number format from I to A). I 
may soon send you my modifications.
