I second Robin Stephenson's request of yesterday for an "Idiot's Guide" - with plenty of examples. I am aware of the cookbook and the several tutorials; unfortunately, my problem areas never seem to coincide with the available help. For example, in trying to convert an SGML document to HTML I want to create a table of contents at the top of the document (with href links into the document). I have had no success in pulling out descendent information. Specifically, I have an SGML document with the following (partial) structure <RPC> <INTRO> <BODY> <PCAT> <POS> ... Element POS has an attribute list with one attribute and about 10 possible values for the attribute. I'd like the table of contents to reference and link to each occurence of the attribute values as they appear within the document. Any help - especially examples - would be greatly appreciated.
