If you are using the tex backend for printing you should be able to
use the gif extension rather then .eps. jadetex uses the latex graphics
package to include such files, so you may find a PC driver will include
gif as a native format, but if you are using dvips you can tell it
about gif by something like
\DeclareGraphicsRule{.gif}{eps}{.bp}{`whatever-command-you-use-to-convert #1}
you can put this in jadetex.cfg (or jade.cfg, for older jadetexs).
