Subject: jade and "new" entities From: Herbert Hrachovec <Herbert.Hrachovec@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 8 Oct 1998 12:28:29 +0200 (CEST) |
In HTML 4.0 "new entities" are introduced. I am particularly interested in <!ENTITY sbquo CDATA "‚" -- single low-9 quotation mark, U+201A NEW --> and <!ENTITY bdquo CDATA "„" -- double low-9 quotation mark, U+201E NEW --> My question is simply whether they can be used outside HTML. I fail to get them properly translated into either LaTex or RTF. My System: Linux, SuSE 5.3. It is set up so that nsgmls does not complain at ‚ or „ - but neither jadetex nor the rtf backend seem to work with these entities. Any help is appreciated.
