version 1.2.1. I'm also surprised, because it hasn't crashed on me before
when I used other SGML sources and stylesheets.

Er, that's odd. I've processed hundreds (perhaps thousands) of documents
with the DocBook stylesheets and I've never seen anything like it.
What version of Jade are you using?
