Seems like you tripped over exactly the same issues I did some months ago. Took me weeks of emails to Sebastian and David Carlisle to figure it out. Boy did I feel good when I finally got it to work. I think the tex setup from Sebastian (Tex Live) is setup correctly for use with jadetex. It would be nice if this could be made easier for a real tex newbie to do two installations, Openjade and Live tex, and have it work 'out of the box'. The depths of tex are just too much if you are just exploring print from sgml via openjade. (Side benefit though. I finished up with 4 tex books, and am now using tex for other documents to great effect, again thanks to lots of help from Sebastian and David et al) Regards, DaveP DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
