   I can't say that this would solve your problem for sure, but I seem
to recall some modifications to the option handling in the more recent
OpenJade versions (though I couldn't find it in the ChangeLog).  Try
out OpenJade 1.3, available from openjade.sourceforge.net.  If nothing
else, it does have some nice improvements, such as almost all of the
Expression and Query Language procedures from the standard built in.
