Unable to build jade ver 1.2.

Subject: Unable to build jade ver 1.2.

As per Jade autoconf support, I tryied to run ./configure, but got this
error. 

# ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
saving distribution makefiles...
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

I appreciate for your help in advance.
